Coronovirus Update #2
Dear Parents/Carers/Beavers/Cubs/Scouts,
Wow, what a difference a week makes. These are different and challenging times. We’re absolutely devastated that we have had to curtail face to face meetings with such abruptness. However, as described in the email from our Chief Commissioner, these are not choices that have been made lightly and they are for all our and our families’ benefit.
We hope that you and your families are not too adversely affected by the virus and should you catch it, the impact is minimal.

Notice to all associated with 17th Barrow Scout Group
There will be no surprise after this week’s announcements and developments that face-to-face meetings of all sections – Beavers, Cubs and Scouts – have been suspended.
Tim Kidd (Chief UK Scout Commissioner) issued an important update on the developing Coronovirus (Covid-19) situation on Monday 16th March 2020.

Tea Prepared for the return of the annual Bake Sale!
Date: Tuesday 15th October 2019
Time: 8pm
Venue: Scout Hut on Yarlside Road
You are invited and encouraged to attend a short meeting to review last year and set the stall for next year.
The short meeting including reports of the activities and achievements of each Section over the last year, a summary of the accounts, votes for committee members, and an opportunity to ask any questions, raise any issues, or make any suggestions.

The Great Bedding Plant Sale 2018 is now up-and-running and looking for your support!
Last year the sale raised several hundreds of pounds for the Scout Group minibus, and with your help we can raise more money toward purchase of a minibus to benefit all sections (Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts) of the Group.
